Stockton Shoot covers 8,000 acres in the Wylye Valley in South West Wiltshire. Just under half is owned by the Stratton family, with the remainder rented from our neighbours. The country is typical of the chalk downland of Salisbury Plain with dry valleys, some steep banks, and small woods which is ideal for redleg partridge shooting in the autumn leading into mixed days later in the season. On the southern end of the shoot, Stockton Wood and its environs are ancient woodland which provide classic pheasant drives.
